PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-ray-reflective transparent material produced through simple manufacturing processes and having excellent visible light transmission and heat ray reflecting performance. PSOLUTION: The heat-ray-reflective transparent material is obtained by forming a metal-doped indium oxide membrane on the surface of a transparent substrate. The metal-doped indium oxide membrane has a film thickness of 120-150 nm and a resistivity of 310SP-3/SP cm. The transparent material has a visible light transmittance of 85% and a solar transmittance of 82%, with a difference between the visible light transmittance and the solar transmittance equal to or greater than 7.
