PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring the covering depths from a main reinforcement bar embedded therein to both surfaces, at high speed, at low cost and with no false positive, in a manufacturing process of an ALC panel.;SOLUTION: The method of measuring the covering depths of a main reinforcement of an ALC panel includes: using an eddy current magnetic sensor (7); outputting in analog form an output value of the sensor (7) by reciprocating the sensor (7) in a direction perpendicular to the carrying direction of an ALC panel (1) at a predetermined speed (v1) while keeping a predetermined distance (L) from the front surface of the ALC panel (1) being carried in a horizontal direction; determining beforehand a relational expression f (peak value, speed) between a peak value (vm) of a measurement signal when the sensor (7) passing above a main reinforcement bar (2), the speed (v1), and the distance between the sensor (7) and the main reinforcement bar (2); calculating the covering depth (t) of the main reinforcement bar from t=f(vm, v1)-L; and eliminating the influence of intersection with a reinforcing bar by performing peak cut processing or moving average processing of obtaineed data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
