PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant phenol resin composition having heat resistance and strengths capable of transporting and storing steel material coils in contacted states in a process even at about 400°C, in addition, reducing rising costs to a minimum, and provide a heat resistant pad using the heat resistant phenol resin composition and a method for producing the heat resistant pad. PSOLUTION: The heat resistant phenol resin composition is prepared by impregnating a heat resistant substrate comprising rock wool and a polyparaphenylenebenzo-bis-oxazole (PBO) fiber with a phenol resin and heat curing the same under pressure. The heat resistant substrate is a multiply woven cloth comprising 40-95 wt.% rock wool and 5-60 wt.% PBO fiber. In addition, the heat resistant phenol resin composition includes 50-80 wt.% heat resistant substrate and 20-50 wt.% phenol resin. The heat resistant pad has a double layered structure comprising a base material and a heat resistant layer comprising the heat resistant phenol resin composition. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
