PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watertight testing device and a watertight test method for evaluating a glazing channel constituting a paper sliding-door.;SOLUTION: When pressing a glass plate 14 of the paper sliding-door 12 by weights 44, etc., the glass plate 14 is bent downward, and each clearance is generated between the glass plate 14 and the glazing channel 16, and between a frame 18 and the glazing channel 16. Thus, water 40 leaks from the clearance, and a water level of the water 40 in a container upper part 30 is lowered, and the water level is measured by a scale 26. Then, watertightness of the glazing channel 16 is evaluated based on a change of the water level after elapse of a prescribed time after the pressing, namely, based on a water leak amount. In order to set its evaluation standard, a glazing channel determined to be acceptable in a prescribed grade in a watertight performance test method specified by JIS A1517 (1996) is set as the evaluation standard.
