PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display mode alteration program and a display control device, facilitating such operations as highlighting or nondisplaying a part of the displayed information. PSOLUTION: The display mode alteration program displays the display information on a second LCD 12. A position to the display information is specified based on the coordinate information outputted from a touch panel 15. A scope on the display information including at least the touch-on coordinate and the position presently specified is established. The direction from the touch-on coordinate to the presently specified position is detected. When a forward direction is detected, the display information in the established scope is given a marker M and is shown.
