PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmitting and receiving apparatus, a mail transmitting and receiving method and a mail transmitting and receiving program that can prevent leakage of information transmitted and received during mail transmission and reception. PSOLUTION: A destination mail server is connected if an effective server information storage part storing combinations of name server specification information specifying a name server and mail server specification information specifying a mail server used in a network environment accessing the name server stores the combination of name server specification information obtained from a name server accessible in the network where the apparatus belongs and mail server specification information about the destination mail server.
