PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material washer for a moving bed type filtration apparatus, suppressing pulsation of mixture, enhancing washing efficiency of a filter material, and suppressing a discharge amount of the filter material, when washing the mixture between the filter material and suspended matter discharged from an air lift pump by washing water. PSOLUTION: This filter washer 1 includes: a staying part 10 storing the mixture discharged from the air lift pump 60, sequentially discharging a prescribed amount of mixture, and having a slit 13; a washing part 20 bringing the mixture into contact with treatment water or the like of the moving bed type filtration apparatus introduced from a lower part to wash the mixture; a slide part 30 connecting the staying part 10 and the washing part 20; a separation transfer part 40 transferring filthy water separated by the washing; and a discharge part 50 for discharging the filthy water transferred from the separation transfer part 40 outside the moving bed type filtration apparatus.
