P To provide a cross gate and a method for mounting the cross gate, that can reduction the clearance between a post and a gate body and while coping with an inclined ground. PSOLUTION: A connecting implement for connecting the gate body to the post includes a vertically swingable guide block and a gate holding member fixed to the gate body while being slidable inside the guide block along a slide groove formed penetrating the longitudinal direction of the guide block. The gate holding member has a bolt hole and a LOCK bolt is provided to penetrate the bolt hole and the slide groove. The gate holding member is formed turnable around the LOCK bolt used as a shaft and to be slidable along the slide groove when the LOCK bolt is loosened and but not to be slidable along the slide groove when the LOCK bolt is tightened.
