PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variant of a DNA sequence encoding a protease (FSAP) that activates blood coagulation factor VII and single-chain plasminogen- activating factor, a diagnosis method for specifying a patient showing the FSAP expression that is genetically heterozygous or homozygous by detecting FSAP in a body fluid or tissue cell, antibodies against FSAP and a variant thereof, and a diagnosis method that can be used for detecting FSAP and a variant thereof.;SOLUTION: This variant contains a G/C base exchange in 1177th nucleotide and/or a G/A base exchange in 1601st nucleotide. Corresponding protease has a Glu/Gln exchange in 393rd amino acid and/or a Gly/Glu exchange in 534th amino acid.
