PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein, when detecting a light signal in an optical transmission apparatus, a conventional tap type device requires high cost and always generates an insertion loss or a contact loss.;SOLUTION: A detection part 13 of a photodetection terminal 12 is inserted into a detection hole 48 of an optical media converter 47, and a recessed part 4 of a light leakage part 1 is pushed onto the projection part 3 side, and an optical fiber wire 2 sandwiched between the projection part 3 and the recessed part 4 is bent temporarily. Hereby, if the light signal is transmitted to the optical media converter 47, the light signal leaks from the bent part of the optical fiber wire 2. By detecting the light signal by using the photodetection terminal 12, a state of the light signal propagated through the optical fiber wire 2 inside the optical media converter 47 can be discriminated.
