PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte body for an electrochemical energy conversion device capable of improving proton conductivity of a solid acid salt at a temperature below a phase transition point to a super proton conductive phase; an activation method of a solid acid salt type electrolyte body using it; and a large-capacitance capacitor and a fuel cell using it. PSOLUTION: This electrolyte body for an electrochemical energy conversion device is formed by mixing and molding a solid acid salt type electrolyte comprising cations and anions, and a moisture holding substance. This activation method of an electrolyte body for an electrochemical energy conversion device can improve proton conductivity by forcibly keeping humidity of the electrolyte body for an electrochemical energy conversion device in the range of 10-100% at 10-140C.
