PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable low cost excessive pressure relief valve which operates even at relatively low excessive pressure and safely and surely releases the pressure to an outside, which has a small sized simple structure, which is excellent in reproducibility of operation pressure, and which allows mass production of valves of same qualities, and an excessive pressure relief unit including the excessive pressure relief valve. PSOLUTION: This excessive pressure relief valve 1 releases excessive pressure applied on a back surface side 20 of a rubber elastic plate 11 to an external environment of a surface side 10 by rupture of a weak portion 12 provided on surface sides 10, 20 of either of the front or back of the rubber elastic plate 11. The weak portion 12 is a hollow 13 having a nib oriented to an inside of the rubber elastic plate 11 from either of the plate sides 10, 20 or a slit obliquely cut into an inside of the rubber elastic plate 11 from either surface side.
