PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quenching a high carbon-chromium bearing steel and the high carbon-chromium bearing steel, the bearing parts and a rolling bearing improving the basic static load of the rolling bearing.;SOLUTION: The temperature of the high carbon-chromium bearing steel is raised and after holding this steel at the temperature (a first temperature) exceeding A₁ transforming point for a prescribed time, a general quenching treatment (the first quenching treatment) is performed and thereafter, this temperature is again raised and after holding at the temperature of exceeding the A₁ transforming point and lower than the first temperature (a second temperature) for a prescribed time, the quenching treatment into flowing water is applied (the second quenching treatment).
