Method and apparatus for refragmentation packet data for retransmission during HARQ transmission failure

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for retransmission packet data when transmission failure on a hybrid automatic repeat request "HARQ" from a transmitter to a receiver.;SOLUTION: The method is retransmitted packet data when transmission failure of the HARQ from the transmitter to the receiver. The method includes the following steps: a step for checking whether changes with respect to HARQ transmission error performance characteristics are greater than a threshold and/or whether deterioration in a channel state is indicated or whether the changes are less than the threshold; if YES, a step for resegmenting data of a wireless link control service data unit "RLC-SDU" or data of a wireless link control protocol data unit "RLC-PDU" into smaller PDU data sizes; and a step for transmitting the resegmented RLC-PDU data; and if NO, a step for transmitting the previous RLC-PDU data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
