PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing method which is superior in water retention effect and its persistence when a hydrous contact lens containing a polyethylene glycol side chain and/or polyethylene glycol is stored in liquid medicine containing cyclodextrin.;SOLUTION: A polyethylene glycol chain is introduced in a lens raw material of the hydrous contact lens, which then has lens surfaces covered with a pseudorotaxane structure only by being dipped in storage liquid containing cyclodextrin, so that water vaporization from the lens can be suppressed. The polyehtylene glycol and cyclodextrin are both highly safe compounds, so that there is no risk that the obtained lens has a problem of safety. Further, the same manufacturing costs as before can be maintained because of simple operations, and the method is excellent from an economical viewpoint.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
