PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating waste liquid using a liquid agent which does not easily become a cause of pollution, the apparatus being easily operated.;SOLUTION: In the waste liquid treating method, while pumping up the waste liquid from a grease trap, a treating agent such as a liquid agent made into soap, an emulsifier, a detergent or a surfactant is supplied to the waste liquid, and they are mixed and agitated to be turned to treated liquid and then returned into the grease trap or discharged to the outside. In this case, the waste liquid or treated liquid is made to pass through a filter having filtration, decoloration and deodorization functions and then returned into the grease trap or discharged to the outside. The waste liquid treating apparatus includes a pumping pump for pumping up the waste liquid inside the grease trap, the filter and a treating agent container, and is capable of supplying the treating agent to the waste liquid while sucking the waste liquid by the pumping pump, mixing and agitating them and turning them into the treated liquid. A discharge pump for discharging the treated liquid into the grease trap can be provided inside a case as well. The waste liquid treating apparatus can be provided in a moving vehicle to be movable.
