PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon monoxide selective oxidation catalyst using vermiculite (Expanded vermiculite) as a support and a method for manufacturing the carbon monoxide selective oxidation catalyst, by which the performance of the carbon monoxide selective oxidation catalyst is enhanced by adding a catalytic agent, a carrier and a promoter. PSOLUTION: The carrier is precipitated on vermiculite (Expanded vermiculite) and the carrier-precipitated vermiculite is calcined to obtain a carrier-containing vermiculite support. The carrier-containing vermiculite support is immersed in a solution containing the catalytic agent and a promoter raw material to infiltrate the catalytic agent and the promoter raw material into the vermiculite support. The resulting vermiculite support is dried and calcined to obtain the carbon monoxide selective oxidation catalyst using vermiculite (Expanded vermiculite) as the support.
