PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition excellent in flame retardancy, heat resistance, mechanical characteristics, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, and pressure welding properties and suitable for recycling, because of not causing elution of a heavy metal compound, nor forming a large amount of smoke or a harmful gas, when thrown away to be reclaimed, burnt, etc., and to provide a molded article given by using the same.;SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition contains magnesium hydroxide (B) in an amount of 50-300 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a resin component (A) which contains (a-1) a homo polypropylene resin modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or (a-2) a block and/or a random polypropylene resin modified with the unsaturated carboxylic acid in an amount of 20-85 mass%, (b) polypropylene in an amount of 15-80 mass%, and (c) a styrene-based elastomer modified with the unsaturated carboxylic acid in an amount of 0-40 mass%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
