PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent spontaneous combustion by accurately controlling the temperature of stored coal.;SOLUTION: In the case wherein a unit is stopped in a step SA11, the step is advanced to a step SA12 to determine whether a fuel ratio of the coal stored in a coal yard is less than 1.3 or not. In the case of the fuel ratio less than 1.3, the step is advanced to a step SA13, and in the case of the fuel ratio at 1.3 or more, the step is advanced to a step SA14. In the step SA13, a determination whether the period scheduled to stop the unit exceeds seven days or not is done, and in the case of exceeding seven days, the coal temperature control is performed.
