INSTALLATION FOR DIRECT ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION FROM DEMERSAL SEA WATER CONTAINING SULFIDES

The present installation uses renewable energy source. When works there are not released any harmful emissions into air and water. The installation operates continuously, the power is lightly regulated, it does not use any fuel and other supplies, the sea water is cleaned from dissolved sulfides and the dissolved oxygen is increased in the surface layer. From the demersal layer is pumped seawater, containing sulfides, from which an anolyte is obtained. From the surface layer is pumped seawater which does not contain any sulfides, and which affords catholyte. The anolyte and the catholyte are fed to a fuel cell, on the poles of which is generated electricity. A part of the generated electricity supplies the installation and the remaining part is fed to the external electrical network. In fact, the process of oxidation of the sulfides to sulfates into the fuel cell does not generate any thermal energy and the conversion of the chemical energy into electrical energy is practically complete.
