PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF 2,5-BIS- (2,2,2-TRIFLUOROETOXY) -N- (2-PIPERIDILMETIL) -BENZA MIDA AND ITS SALTS. Process for the preparation of 2,5-bis- (2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy) -N- (2-piperidylmethyl) benzamide, its pharmaceutically acceptable salts and its important intermediates, which involves 1,4-diahalotoluenes as starting material. The method involves a technique for preparing the 2,5-bis- (2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy) -toluene starting material in high yields by reacting 1,4-dibromotoluene with 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol in the presence of a base and a copper containing catalyst.
