An apparatus for collecting oil from water bodies comprises at least: a supporting structure (11 ); at least one belt (13) configured to wind in the supporting structure and to transfer oil accumulated on the belt from the first end (11a) to the second end (11 b) of the apparatus when the first end is submerged in water; and a suction device (22) placed at the first end (11a) and configured to suck up oil from water surface when the first end is submerged in water, comprising at least one roller (12) which has a jacket (12a) that is permeable to liquid and inside which a suction or under pressure can be supplied.
