The invention provides the extracts from the spices that reduce the melanin content of the pathogen. This effect would make the pathogen more susceptible to antifungal agents alone or in combination with other drugs. The colony and cell wall analysis have shown drastic reduction in conidial and melanin formation as seen by microscopic and spectrophotometrically.
