[Problems] Temperature unevenness of compressed air in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine delays a reaction between a fuel and combustion air, thereby inevitably inducing ignition delay. [Means for Resolution] Electromagnetic wave treatment method of water vapor in combustion air excites water molecules of water vapor in the combustion air. Electromagnetic wave treatment apparatus for water vapor in combustion air comprises a substrate, a heat shield body attached to the substrate, an irradiator provided on the heat shield body and irradiating electromagnetic waves toward combustion air, anda storage space storing the irradiator therein.
