CALCIUM PHOSPHATE BONE CEMENT AND METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION

Proposed calcium phosphate bone cement and method for its preparation contributes to the field of medicine and can be used for surgical reconstruction of bone defects.Composition of calcium phosphate bone cement paste consists of a solid and a liquid phase. The solid phase consists of synthesized alpha-tricalcium phosphate (alpha-TCP) and beta-TCP, while the liquid phase consists of aqueous solutions of sodium or potassium dihydrogen phosphates. Molar ratio of calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) remains constant in solid phase, while the concentration of sodium (Na+) and potassium (K+) ions are changing in liquid phase.
