The invention relates to methods for obtaining ferrite powders and their use in the manufacture of polymer nanocomposites. According to the proposed method ferrite nanoparticles are being obtained in nitrogen/airhigh-frequency plasma from metal and/or metal oxide powders. A modifyingsubstance, which covers the primary particles, is added into plasmagas-condensed nanoparticles flow in cooling zone, before filter, where main particles agglomeration takes place. This allows obtaining nanoparticles, which better interact with matrix in the process of obtaining polymer composite materials.
