The present invention refers to the obtention of fermentable sugars using an acid pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis. The present invention also refers to the use of agroindustrial residues of wheat straw as raw material resulting from different activities: common wheat harvest best know as new straw (N) and compost resulting from the production of A. bisporus fungi best known as waste straw (G). The purpose of the invention is to use commercial enzymes acting over different polysaccharides, such as Accellerase 1500 which attacks cellulose and a cocktail comprising Accellerase 1500, BG, XC, XY which act over hemicellulose in the acid pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis for obtaining fermentable sugars. Another purpose of the present invention is the obtention of suitable parameters in the process of acid pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis for obtaining fermentable sugar.
