The present invention relates to the manufacturing of equipment and material for the maintenance of pipelines conveying hazardous materials, especially flammable compounds. More particularly, the present invention relates to the maintenance of radial welds and failure sleeves. The competitive advantages of the present invention with respect to prior state-of-the-art structures, are the reduction of the gap located between the repair means and the pipe to be repaired, also removing the lateral weld, so that reducing massive heat in pipeline to be repaired and the failure sleeve, thereby enhancing the mechanical strength in the repair area. The invention comprises a sleeve disposed about the pipe area to be repaired and a resin member arranged between the outer pipe surface and the inner surface of the sleeve, the sleeve including a larger diameter at the longitudinal central portion thereof which gradually decreases towards the lateral ends thereby forming an aperture through which re sin is injected, the sleeve also comprising a peripheral groove for receiving the weld of the pipe to be repaired.
