An eyeglass assembly 170 formed of detachable parts, the detachable parts comprising at least one lens portion 175, 276, an upper frame part 171, a lower frame part 172 and two temple arms 173 adapted to pivotally attach to the upper frame part 171 and/or the lower frame part 172 to form two hinge assemblies, where the detachable parts are each interchangeable with corresponding parts. In each hinge assembly, one of the upper frame part 171 and the lower frame part 172 comprises a pivot shaft and the other of the upper frame part 171 and lower frame part 172 comprises a pivot shaft receiving portion adapted to receive the respective pivot shaft and where each temple arm 173 is adapted to pivotally attach to one of the pivot shafts.
