The invention relates to a method and a network for monitoring geophysical fields with automatic data transmission and processing , in order to watch the long-term, average-term and short-term behaviour of these fields, especially during the periods when significant seismic events occur. The claimed monitoring network comprises some clusters (A) for measuring the intensity of the geomagnetic and acoustic infrasonic fields, installed in a seismic region, each cluster (A) being provided with a magnetometer (2) and a microbarometer (1) which provides analogical signals to a digitizer (3) equipped with an analogue-digital conversion unit (4), with a GPS module (5) and an Ethernet interface (6) included into the cluster (A), a unit (B) provided with a microbarometer and an electric field monitor (7), a meteorological station (C) and also a local server (D) connected through optical fiber (8) to clusters (A), the unit (B), the meteorological station (C), the local server (D) having the role of taking over the data supplied by them, said data being memorized by means of a software application (10) and sent through a router (11) to a central server (E) where there are also centralized other data arrived from other regional clusters (F), located outside the seismic region and also from other clusters (H and G) measuring the geomagnetic field and ionospheric activity, respectively, all these data being processed by a software application (13) of the server (E). The claimed method consists in monitoring acoustic, electric, atmospheric and geomagnetic fields both inside a seismic region and outside thereof, the geophysical parameters being stored at the level of a central server where the data are automatically processed, spectrograms of the anomalies recorded in the activity of said fields on long-term, average-term and short-term being generated, in order to study the possible correlations occurring in the activity of said fields and the seismic activity.
