The invention relates to a nutritive supplement with hypoglycemic and antioxidant properties and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the supplement comprises 20...40 parts of Vaccinium myrtillus L., 30...40 parts of Rubus fructicosus L. and 30...40 parts of Morus nigra L., the parts being expressed by volume. The process, as claimed by the invention, consists in extracting anthocyanins from Vaccinium myrtillus L., Rubus fructicosus L. and Morus nigra L. fruits, with 80% ethyl alcohol acidulated with 0.1% HCl, at a fruit : solvent ratio of 1:4, in an ultrasound field, at 59 kHz, for 10...60 min, at a temperature of 23...27°C, after which the mixture is filtered, evaporated under vacuum at 34...40°C up to the alcohol complete removal, the resulting concentrate being centrifuged and the supernatant being purified to result in the raw extract which is further washed with ethyl acetate and purified by chromatography, wherefrom there is obtained an anthocyanin concentrate which is evaporated under vacuum, is characterized and is finally mixed, in the established ratios, and homogenized to result in the said food supplement.
