SODIUM SALTS OF ANIONIC COMPLEXES OF RUTHENIUM () AND PROCESS FOR THE SYNTHESIS THEREOF

The invention relates to a product as a sodium salt of a Ru (III) complex with mixed ligands with antitumoral activity and to a process for producing the same. The claimed product is a soluble salt of a Ru (III) compound with a quinolone derivative in the anionic form and dimethyl sulphoxide. The claimed process consists in preparing a suspension of the neutral ruthenium (III) complex in water, adding sodium hydroxide up to a ratio between the reagents of 1:2, the resulting solution is concentrated on a water bath, is cooled on ice and there is added ethanol until there is formed a brown solid wherefrom a precipitate is separated, said precipitate being washed with ethanol and dried in air.
