A method for inhibiting the activity of Staphylococcus aureus with liposomal antibiotic with determination of the minimum inhibitory concentration comprises the use of lincomycin or mixtures of negatively charged lipids with minimal inhibitory concentrations of lincomycin during the incubation period of the staphylococcus.
