METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF TRANSVERSE FLATNESS OF ANTERIOR DIVISION OF FOOT AND VALGUS DEFORMITY OF TOE

A method for the surgical treatment of the transverse flatness of the anterior division of foot and valgus deformity of the toe comprises the separation of the tendon of the adductor muscle of great toe and its cut from the site of its attachment to the proximal end of the major phalange, the suturing with tendon sututre, and the transposition of the tendon of the adductor muscle of great toe. The cut tendon of the adductor muscle is split into two parts. One part is passed over the first metatarsus and second under the first metatarsus adjacent to its head. These two parts of the tendon are tied up with homogenous tension on the internal side of the foot.
