A method for treating the acute odontogenic maxillary sinusitis comprises the extraction of the causative tooth, anti-inflammatory therapy, the use of antibiotics, the symptomatic treatment, the intranasal administration of vasoconstrictor agents, the irrigation of the maxillary sinus with antiseptic solutions. Furthermore, the maxillary sinus is irrigated with prebiotic solution. Probiotics in tablets are also used.
