Defined a number of concepts, methods and apparatus in order to facilitate the control and treatment of sounds across a multichannel surround sound. The main application is considered optimization? Virtual location? a sound source in any acoustic environment where available a multichannel sound system and suitable to implement the methods considered here means. # For this, first, it proceeds to the characterization of the acoustic environment and reproductive system multichannel during the process? spatial calibration? system, after which various algorithms designed using the best sound coding strategies in such an environment, leaving the final control of these parameters for each particular system user. Later, during the reproduction process, the system can virtually localize sound sources in the acoustic environment with the highest possible quality depending on the number of speakers of the reproductive system and physical distribution such an environment. # The concepts presented in the exhibition the present invention can be extended and applied to many aspects of the overall processing of sounds in multichannel sound systems, such as the design of novel sound effects by manipulating virtual sound spaces, creating new techniques for simulating virtual enclosures and as sound sources virtually located both inside and outside of the acoustic environment, or the development of a spatial encoding of sounds is a summary of the techniques used by WFS and HOA systems.
