A process for separating acid gas from hydrocarbon gas comprising the steps of: obtaining residue from ethanol production; dehydration of the residue; and the residue dried mixture with an amine, further comprising the step of contacting the mixture of residue / amine dehydrated fluid witha acid gas stream.
