A method for removing one or more heavy metals from industrial wastewater by using membrane separation SomeProcedure comprising the following steps: a. collecting industrial wastewater containing heavy metals in a receptacle (1) containing said adecuadopara industrial wastewater; b. adjusting the pH of said system (4) to achieve precipitation hydroxide endichas heavy metals such industrial wastewater; c. adding an effective amount of polymer of ethylene dichloride-ammonia water soluble (6, 9) tieneun molecular weight from about 500 to about 2,000,000 daltons that contienedesde about 5 to about 50 mole percent salt groups deditiocarbamato to react with said heavy metals in said water system residualesindustriales; d. passing said treated industrial wastewater through a continuous submerged membrane (10) conaireación for cleaning membranes to establish a procedure pormembranas separation crossflow or intermittent aeration for membrane cleaning to establecerun separation process half-blind membranes ; wherein said submerged membrane is unamembrana ultrafiltration or a microfiltration membrane; and e. optionally subjecting backwashing said membrane to remove solids from the demembrana surface.
