DYNAMIC DATA-DRIVEN APPLICATION INTEGRATION ADAPTERS

Systems and methods of application integration, including constructing anapplication integration adapter in dependence upon a profile including datadescribing the adapter, receiving instructions to alter the adapter, andaltering the adapter in dependence upon the instructions. Embodiments of theinvention include communicating integration messages among applicationsthrough the adapter as altered. In typical embodiments, receiving instructionsto alter the adapter includes detecting changes in the adapter profile. Insuch embodiments, detecting changes in the adapter profile includes creating acopy of the profile, and periodically comparing the profile and the copy. Inother exemplary embodiments, receiving instructions to alter the adapterincludes receiving from an application an administrative integration messagebearing the instructions to alter the adapter. In such embodiments, alteringthe adapter in dependence upon the instructions includes updating the profile.
