The present invention aims at estimating a residuallife of a blasting vessel. For the estimation, a straingauge (30) is attached to a blasting vessel (10). The straingauge (30) measures high-frequency repetitive strain caused inthe blasting chamber (10) in each explosion. Strain waveformdata obtained with the strain gauge (30) is analyzed tocalculate the cumulative degree of fatigue damage due to ahigh-frequency repetitive load applied to the blastingvessel (10) in each explosion. A residual life of theblasting vessel (10) is estimated on the basis of a cumulativevalue of the cumulative degrees of fatigue damage.
