Methods and a system for vehicle control are provided. The system includes aninput device configured to receivea required time of arrival at a way point and a processor communicativelycoupled to the input device. The processor isprogrammed to determine a forward Sate time profile, determine a forward earlytime profile representing the earliest tune the vehiclecould arrive at a point along the track and still arrive at the way pointwhile transiting at a maximum available speed, anddeter-mine an estimated time uncertainty (ETU) associated with at least one ofthe forward late time profile and the forward eariy timeprofile. The system also includes an output device communicatively coupled tothe processor, the output device configured totransmit the determined uncertainty with a respective one of the at least oneof the forward late time profile and the forward earlytime profile to a display.
