The invention relates to light industry. The container for the collection of energy-saving compact fluorescent lamps is equipped with a loading hatch comprising a body which supports a tiltable bucket, and two side walls and a front wall which are attached to the front wall of the container. The bottom of the bucket is bent along a transverse line to ensure that a lamp is in a stable position in the bucket during loading and will roll down when the hatch is closed. The outside part of the bottom of the bucket constitutes the lid of the hatch. When the hatch is open, the loading aperture thereof is covered by the inside part of the bottom of the bucket. A replaceable storage vessel with inclined planes is mounted in the lower part of the body for the collection of lamps. A first inclined plane is fastened across the width of the vessel wall that is parallel to the front wall of the container, underneath the inside bottom of the bucket and in direct proximity thereto. A second inclined plane constitutes the inclined bottom of the vessel, which is inclined relative to the vessel wall that is parallel to the rear wall of the container. A distance sufficient to allow a lamp to pass freely is left between the free end of the inclined plane and the bottom of the vessel. All of the interior surfaces of the vessel are covered with a soft shock-absorbing material.
