#$%^&*AU2013100092A420130314.pdf#####ABSTRACT A method for reconstruction tree root system architecture by ground-penetrating radar includes following steps: draw some patterned survey lines on the soil surface which are a series of isometric concentric circles whose center are sited coincident to the trunk; obtain the GPR data by the GPR above the survey line; label all detecting points in the GPR data as PC,N(dis, dep, dia); deal all detecting points in the GPR data from outer circle to inner; for each point PC,N belongs to the Cth circle, open a searching window in the C + 1 th circle to find the optimum origin of PC,N; connecting all points together in spines to obtain the tree root system architecture.
