An assembly of a drive shaft (110), a rotor (112), and a swash plate (111) is rotatably supported, and the swash plate (111) is rotated in a state where a spring support member (116) is pressed and moved from the right direction in the drawing and the biasing force of two springs is balanced on the swash plate (111); the displacement of the swash plate (111) in the axial direction is measured with a contactless displacement measurement device (m). The position of the spring support member (116) is adjusted such that the displacement (SM) approaches a pre-set displacement (ST) corresponding to the inclination angle (θT) of the swash plate (111).
