Disclosed in the present invention is a combined type waterwheel power generation device used in a water conservancy channel or a river channel,which is composed of multiple wheels (1), multiple layers of multi-vanes (2) and a shaft (3). The vanes (2) are composed of main vanes (21) and auxiliary vanes (22). A space formed by the wheel (1) and the vanes (2) is a water bucket (4) which is bottomless. A big opening portion of the water bucket (4) next to the edge of the wheel (1) is a water inlet and outlet (41), and a small opening portion of the water bucket (4) is a gas inlet and outlet (42) whose horizontal position is higher than that of the water inlet and outlet (41). The horizontal positions of layers of vanes among individual wheels (1) are mutually staggered. The waterwheel power generation device can effectively reuse natural waterflow energy of the water conservancy channel or the river channel and efficiently drive a power generator to generate power.
