An objective of the present invention is to provide a means for measuring a gradient magnetic field waveform with good precision. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a means for allowing measurement even for a magnetic field component which arises in a direction which is orthogonal to the magnetic axis of the gradient magnetic field. To this end, a reference measurement, which acquires a signal without using a test gradient magnetic field, and an actual measurement, which acquires the signal using the test gradient magnetic field, are conducted. In such a circumstance, the signals are acquired from bar-shaped regions where slices of the test gradient magnetic field in the magnetic axis direction and slices in the orthogonal direction thereto intersect. There are at least three of the bar-shaped regions, with different locations. By computing an NMR signal acquired with a reference measurement and an NMR signal acquired with an actual measurement, an actual measurement value of a test gradient magnetic field and a magnetic field component which is orthogonal to the magnetic axis direction thereof are calculated.
