Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method, device and system for managing the bandwidth resource of a label switched path (LSP), the method mainly comprising: a transit node receives a label distribution protocol (LDP) message carrying a reserved bandwidth value sent by a downstream node; the transit node reserves a downlink bandwidth resource for the downstream node according to the reserved bandwidth value, and sends the LDP message carrying the reserved bandwidth value to an upstream node of the transit node. The embodiment of the present invention provides bandwidth resource assurance for a data flow in the LSP established via a multicast label distribution protocol (MLDP), and provides bandwidth assurance for an IPTV flow sent by a multicast source to pass through the LSP.
