The present invention relates to a high-efficiency coupling for a firefighting engine pump, and to a firefighting engine pump having same, which significantly increase a moment of inertia both by directly coupling the coupling to a flywheel of an engine and by means of an optimized design of the coupling, such that the coupling and installation structure of the coupling on the engine can be simplified and the occurrence of problems caused by frequent changes in rpm can be minimized. The present invention consists essentially of an engine output reinforcing coupling formed in a disk shape, which has one side surface thereof coupled to the flywheel of the engine and which has the width of an outer perimeter portion thereof in a radial direction formed greater than the width of a central portion thereof adjacent to a central axis of rotation.
