Polyethers (I) containing urethane or urea groups are used as foam stabilizers, where (I) are produced by reacting a polyisocyanate with a hydrophilic hydroxy- or amine-functional polyether (II) and a hydrophobic hydroxy- or amine-functional polyether (III).
