An optical system of an LED spotlight and a light casting method thereof. Along the optical path, the LED spotlight sequentially comprises an LED light bead (1), a first condenser lens (2), a second condenser lens (3), an optical film (4), and a condenser lens (5). A condenser lens group consisting of the first condenser lens (2) and the second condenser lens (3) controls 80% of the luminous flux within 35 degrees, the position of the optical film (4) between the second condenser lens (3) and the condenser lens (5) is adjustable, to adjust an exit light spot and the softness of the spotlight, and the exit divergence angle is adjusted through the condenser lens (5), thereby achieving the objectives such as the exit angle of the spotlight being small, the light intensity being high, no stray light, no glare, requiring no peripheral accessory, the light spot being soft and even, and the softness and angle being adjustable.
